Garlicky Beef & Broccoli

Garlicky beef and garlic with chili egg, it’s what’s for dinner.

This recipe is full of flavor and is also low carb! I love using the shirataki noodles to help kick my ramen noodle craving and with the yummy sauce for this recipe you can’t event tell.

I love these type of recipes because the amount of veggies is endless. You can add zucchini, brussels, even garnish with a pickled cucumber would be yummy, nice and refreshing.

Recipe Below:

Servings: 3

Time cook: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of flank steak, sliced

  • 3 sprigs of green onion, white part and green chopped and split. Use green parts to garnish

  • handful of matchstick carrots

  • 1 Fresno or habanero pepper, seeded and chopped

  • 1/3 of green bell pepper, chopped

  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 bags of shirataki ramen noodles

  • 1 cup of broccoli, chopped

  • 2/3 cup of tamari sauce

  • 1/3 cup of brown sugar

  • garlic chili sauce

  • drizzle of sesame oil

  • few dashes of ground ginger

  • few dashes of dried oregano

  • few dashes of red chili flakes

  • sesame seeds to garnish

  • siracha to garnish if you want more heat

  • cornstarch and water to finish sauce at end

Directions: In a large sautee pan add the white green onion and sesame oil on medium heat. Let it cook for a few minutes, then add the minced garlic and peppers. Cook for another few minutes then add the broccoli and carrots. add about half the amount of seasonings and then add the brown sugar and tamari sauce. I usually reserve some of the tamari sauce to add at the end for the beef, same with seasonings. Let it cook for about 15-10 minutes on medium until broccoli starts to soften, I cover about half way in the beginning then take it off with 5 minutes left, turn up the heat and add the beef. Cook for a couple minutes then turn to low and cover. (add the leftover seasoning and tamari sauce) Let it cook for another 7 minutes then add the cornstarch.

While this last batch is cooking, cook your egg in chili oil. Serve hot on fresh plate, garnish your beef and broccoli dish with sesame seeds, siracha, green onions and enjoy.
