Fig Prosciutto Pizza

Get out of your pizza bubble with this recipe!

This recipe came about how I normally make recipes and it is repurposing ingredients I have in the fridge and in the pantry and seeing if the flavors mix well together, and this one was a winner! I made this fig prosciutto pizza with homemade dough, but of course you can do store-bought.

Ingredients

Feeds about 3 people, depending on how many slices your guest will want, but average I would say 2 to give your belly room to eat a couple slices. :)

  • Dough

    • Tuscan olive oil

    • 1 instant dry yeast

    • 4 cups of bread flour

    • 1 1/2 cup of water at 110 F

    • Dash of salt

    • Dash of sugar

    • Oregano

  • Pizza

    • 1-2 figs, sliced

    • Baby Bella mushroom for topping

    • 1 pack of prosciutto for topping

    • Gouda cheese, shredded for topping

    • Mozzarella cheese, shredded for topping

    • Garlic, minced

    • 1 tablespoon of butter, melted

    • Pinch of parlsey to put on once pizza bread is done

    • Oregano, dash

    • Parsley, dash

    • Olive oil, dassh

    • 1/4 cup of marinara

Directions:

Dough. In a mixer add the salt, yeast, flour, oregano, and salt. Turn your mixer on low and slowly add in the water. The dough should form in a ball shape. In another bowl cover with the olive oil. Place the ball of dough in the bowl and cover with towel or plastic wrap and put in warm area of kitchen. Needs to sit for at least an hour. Once dough is ready sprinkle flour where you want to roll out your dough. Then roll out to the shape you want.

Pizza. Spray your pan where the pizza will go on with oil. Pre-heat oven to 425 F. Place dough on greased pan, then start topping! Add the marinara, then sprinkle both cheeses, save some to put on end. Add the mushroom, figs, prosciutto. Add the rest of the cheese. Add a sprinkle of oregano and parsley. Combine the garlic and melted butter to brush the crust before baking. Drizzle olive oil and cook for about 10 minutes or so. Check to see if cheese is bubbling.
