Sausage, Perogie & Brussel Bowl
Super easy, quick simple meal!
This is one of my go-to recipes when I am limited on time and need something simple, yet delicious to make! There are many ways to alter this, you can always use a different type of sausage meat or you can make homemade perogies, I just use to store-bought because it saves time!
I also LOVE to use that mustard sauce on the dish. If you are not a fan of mustard you can opt-out but it adds some tang and smokey flavors to the dish.
Recipe Below:
Servings: 3
Time cook: 20 minutes
Ingredients
1 pack of turkey sausage
Brussel sprouts, cut in half
1 pack of frozen perogies
1 tablespoon of garlic, minced
Dashes of olive oil
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon of plant-base butter
3 sprigs of green onion, chopped (white separated from green)
Few sprinkles of mixed cheese mix
Sweet, sour and smokey mustard sauce to garnish, optional
Directions: Pre-heat the oven to 375 F. After I clean and rinse the brussels, I put in a bowl salt, pepper and a couple of dashes of olive oil to where all the brussels are well coated. Face them all down on a sprayed cooking sheet.
Pull out your turkey sausage and put it on another cooking sheet. Bake both for about 20 - 22 minutes. While these are cooking cook your perogies accordingly. I like to boil a pot of water, cook them until soften. Then I use the white ends of the green onion with garlic, butter, and olive oil and cook for about 10 minutes. Then I will add perogies. Once they are sauteed well I top them off with green onion and shredded cheese.
Put all items in a bowl, drizzle with the mustard sauce and enjoy!
